Steel Life

From my AT HOME series. Many people respond saying wow or etc.to this kind of rendering of steel objects. If I take them to my kitchen and show them the real steel barrel they wonder what I am showing them...the question is what really makes us say wow or pleases us asthetically.

What makes me say WOW is the way you've modeled a rounded object on a flat surface, translated the look of the light dancing across the objects and reflecting around. For that, you get a big WOW :)

Love the painting and love the title!

It's your artistic ability to create painting out of everyday and rather "unatractive" objects makes everyone say WOW

WOW - again. You make the most mundane things in life amazing. And it makes one think about what is around us that is worth painting.

Yet another 'Wow' from your blue period! A nice reminder of "how" one paints is more important than "what" one paints.

Happy new year!

Happy New Year, Milind!!

This piece is definetely a winner! To raise the absolutely mundane to the extraordinary is the true calling of an artist . . .and you do it often! . . . . .and with great feeling! Wonderful!!

What makes me say Wow! is your wonderful interpretation of these
objects and the colour! Wow again.
I love the blue balanced with the
ochre, the grey comboed with the burgundy purple, and the flashes of pink. Why Wow? Why not?

You're a great painter. That's why -- but you already know that.

Happy New Year.

I'm so glad to have found your blog! Your paintings are an inspiration to me, and I'm happy to see so many new ones here.

I think it's the way you observe light, and intensify colors that make me go "wow". Love the turquoise in this painting.
